I just watched Border 2, and it is much more than a typical action film. It is a heartfelt tribute to soldiers everywhere. It shows the real pain, sadness, and hard work that every soldier goes through in their life, no matter which country they fight for.
The Highlights
- The Lead Actors: Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan are the heart and soul of this movie. Their acting is so strong that it will definitely bring tears to your eyes in some scenes.
- The Theme: While the first Border was a pure war movie, this one is different. It isn’t just about the fighting; it’s about the heavy price a soldier and his family have to pay for that war.
- The Music: The songs fit perfectly and don't feel forced. My favorite is "Mitti Ke Bete"—it’s easily the best song in the movie. Just like the first film, the best song comes right at the end during the credits. Remember "Mere Dushman, Mere Bhai" by Hariharan?
The Downside
The only thing missing is the iconic dialogue. The first Border had lines we still remember today. This one has some good punchlines, but they don't stay with you or hit as hard as the original ones did.
Final Thoughts
Is it better than the original? No, the first one is still the king. But you can't ignore this one either. It’s a very good movie and definitely worth watching this weekend.
